Attorneys statewide are invited join MVLP Executive Director Peyton Faulk and MVLP Finance Director Kelly McTear for a CLE on substantive District Court topics that will help you improve your skills in private practice and in your volunteer lawyer activities.

Peyton Faulk is the Executive Director of the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program and has 16 years of experience as an attorney in Montgomery, AL. Her prior work at Legal Services Alabama and as a volunteer attorney have provided her with a strong background in District Court litigation. In addition to the MVLP's other pro bono programs, Ms. Faulk leads the Lawyer 4 A Day program, which provides representation to low-income litigants in all 3 of Montgomery's District Court courtrooms each week.

Kelly McTear is a Clinical Professor of Law at Jones School of Law and has 16 years of experience working exclusively in public interest law in Montgomery, AL. She served 3 terms as President of the Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program and was influential in the creation of its Lawyer 4 A Day program in 2018. Prof. McTear is a current Lawyer 4 A Day volunteer and Director of the Mediation Clinic at Jones School of Law, which provides pro bono mediation services in Montgomery County District Court.
