While today's hearing wasn't quite a home run, it came very close. Our client served over 15 years and 9 months on a 30-year sentence for Burglary I, Robbery I, and Kidnapping; 25-year sentence for Burglary I and Robbery I; and a 20-year sentence for Theft of Property. We presented our client's case before the parole board and successfully secured only a 1-year set-off before the next hearing - an excellent result considering the maximum set-off is 5 years. This is a meaningful win and hopefully just the start of the countdown to our client's release next year.

Today was our first hearing in front of the new leadership at the parole board. After serving more than 28 years of a life sentence for murder - and following a previous parole revocation in 2019 - we successfully presented our client's case and secured his release on parole. Our client is now on a countdown to freedom, pending completion of the PREP program. We extend our best wishes to our client and his family for the future!
