Black Men: Healing after Divorce A safe space with black men find the words they were never given for what divorce actually does to a man-his identity, his fatherhood, his future.

Alfred gives voice and language to what many men carry in silence. This is Not therapy! This is Truth!

What do you say when someone asks how you're doing and the honest answer is "not good"?

Most men say "fine" and change the subject.

This week, try one honest sentence with one person you trust.

Drop it below: what word do you use instead of "fine"?

Preparedness is having somewhere to go before you're in crisis — not scrambling to find it after.

Where’s your room?

Have the hard conversation before you need to have it. Build the language before the moment you need the words.

If nobody's told you this today — you're allowed to still be recovering. There's no deadline on healing right.

Recovery isn't a straight line. Some weeks you're Finding You. Some weeks you're back on The Bench.
Both are still the walk to being ok.

What are you recovering from?

Not what you're supposed to say — what's actually true.

Tonight, 8pm, we talk about it.

One of the hardest parts of divorce isn't just the change in your everyday life—it's carrying the silent weight of what you were never given the words to describe.

When we don't name what happened, it ends up shaping our identity, our fatherhood, and our future. Healing starts the moment you finally decide to give language to what you carry in silence.

💬 What is one boundary or truth you wish you had the words to name sooner?

Divorce Dialogues: Love, Loss & Lessons
A Living Room Conversation — Happening TONIGHT at 7PM EST

Tonight we’re opening the room for a real conversation.

Not a debate.
Not a performance.

A living room conversation.

A Black man and a Black woman who have both walked through divorce, sitting together and speaking honestly about experiences many people carry but rarely have the language to explain.

I’m the author of Notes of an Unfinished Journey – I’m Not Done Yet, where I began sharing the reality of navigating life after relationship separation and learning how to give language to what many people carry in silence.

Joining me tonight is Brittnee Wilder, author of No Ring, No Fling: A Woman’s Guide to Self-Love, Boundaries, and Better Relationships. Her work speaks powerfully to women about identity, boundaries, and self-worth.

Our platforms come from different lived experiences — a Black man’s and a Black woman’s perspective — but tonight we’re sitting down for a thoughtful conversation rooted in reflection, clarity, and understanding.

My work centers on serving men and children navigating relationship separation, giving voice to experiences people often struggle to express and helping people gain clarity about what has happened and how to move forward.

No pretending.
No perfect answers.
Just honest conversation.

Sometimes people aren’t looking for advice.

Sometimes they’re simply looking for the language that finally helps them understand their own story.

And tonight, we’re creating space for that.

Join us tonight at 7PM EST.

Register now for this free event — we want you in the room.
