I decided to make my donation to FISH4KIDS. If you live in Monroe, you are probably aware of the many great things FISH is doing in our community. FISH4KIDS has, for the past 21 years, provided a lunch during the summer to kids whose only meal during the day may be the lunch they get at school. FISH4KIDS provides a sack lunch 6 days a week during the summer. Volunteers come together 3 days per week to make this a reality. For $75, FISH4KIDS can feed a child a sack lunch 6 days per week for the entire summer. That means our $500.00 donation will help feed 6 children for the entire summer. April Donation from Crawford & Boyle employee Kristin Hendricks. I chose to donate $500.00 on behalf of the Crawford and Boyle Foundation to the Thomas Habeeb IV Memorial Endowment at the University of North Georgia. In doing so, we were able to sponsor a hole at the upcoming Thomas Habeeb IV Memorial Golf Tournament on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Chateau Elan Golf Club. Thomas Habeeb IV was a friendly, compassionate young man who touched the lives of everyone he met. He had a smile that could light up a room and will be remembered for his big, beautiful heart that he shared with so many people. Although his life ended far too soon at the young age of 19, the family wanted to ensure his legacy was remembered by founding the Thomas Habeeb IV Memorial Endowment at the University of North Georgia.

The Endowment promotes mental, emotional, and physical wellness for students and staff via programs like stress management workshops, nutrition education, harm reduction, substance awareness, wellness events, mental health resources, behavioral health advisors, health consulting, and community outreach such as Relay for Life and Habitat for Humanity. UNG has several campuses across the state: Blue Ridge, Cu***ng, Dahlonega, Gainesville and Oconee. If you know someone who attends or works at one of these campuses within the University who could use assistance provided by the Thomas Habeeb Memorial Endowment, please let them know of the resources available to them. Thomas cared about all of his friends, family, and even strangers and it warms my heart to know his legacy is being carried on to others in a time of need by the creation of such an amazing foundation!
