In Silly Town News, New York has replaced mother and father and family court proceedings with “gestating” and “non-gestating” parent. All domestic relations issues were automatically and immediately solved when the governor signed the Bill.

In a practical application, now litigants will know to whom to judge is referring in trial. No one knew when judges would use the 5000-year old terms.

Judge: “Are you the biological father of Timmy?”

Non-gestating parent: “Are you referring to me? I don’t speak Portuguese. I am the scientific, biological, non-gestating partner in this government sponsored archaic and legally binding relationship between two humans.”

Judge: 😒

The legislation would replace gender-specific terms like "mother," "father," and "paternity" in places like family court, with terms like "parentage" and more.

Defense attorney Tom Walsh argued investigators still have significant unanswered questions.

"There are no murder weapons, there are no fingerprints and there is no DNA that can connect Bill Oliver to these crimes," Walsh said after the hearing.

Walsh also questioned whether one person could have carried out the attacks alone and argued the state's case remains heavily dependent on circumstantial evidence.

New details emerged Wednesday in the case against the man accused of carrying out one of Mobile County's most brutal killings in recent memory.A Mobile County

“You’re going to need eyewitnesses. If there’s no DNA in this case, then what do we have here. The state’s case is holding on by a thread,” Defense attorney, Tom Walsh said.

“As we heard today, there are no murder weapons, no DNA and no fingerprints that can connect Bill Oliver to these crimes,” Walsh said.

The detective said Oliver occasionally went to Lisa Fields’ home to buy ma*****na and that phone records show Oliver texted Fields about drugs the day of the killings.
