A small but busy office in downtown Missoula whose practice focuses on personal injury, workers' compensation, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, and product liability cases hiring a full-time Paralegal/Legal Assistant.

The right candidate for this position will have the following job responsibilities which include, but are not limited to: file organization; communications with clients, attorneys, and experts; drafting & formatting documents; filing; light research; calendaring and monitoring deadlines; and other tasks as assigned.

Candidate must be proficient in WordPerfect or Word (preferably both) and Adobe Acrobat. Prior law office experience required. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with occasional overtime.

Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Excellent computer and keyboarding skills with knowledge of word processing software and ability to quickly learn new computer programs,
• Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills,
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands with frequent interruptions,
• Ability to work independently as well as with others,
• Exceptional listening skills and oral & written communication skills,
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, be a self-starter, and have a sense of urgency,

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and have the ability to quickly shift between projects. Must have the ability to learn or have experience with WordPerfect.
