Lynn Aikens has rejoined our firm in July, 2022. She worked for Joseph Allen prior to seeking a career in cosmetology. She then went back into the legal field working for Norton Wasserman Jones & Kelly and Marietta, Kellogg and Price until the attorney she was working for retired.

We are lucky to have her rejoin our firm.

Tania (Constable) Daugherty. She has been a fixture with Allen & Associates Law, LLC since day one. In 1990 she graduated from Cloud County Community College with a degree in Travel and Tourism. “I always had an interest in law so when I had an opportunity to go to work for Rick Comfort’s law office in 1992 I decided it would be a good time to switch.” She remembered, “I began learning the basics of Domestic Law, Bankruptcy, Civil litigation and Estate Planning and Probate.”

When Comfort sold his law office to Joe Allen and his partners, she remained an essential part of the business as she was local and had relationships with prior clientele.

Daugherty has been specially trained in estate planning/probate law by attending numerous legal seminars and is certified by NALA in this area. In addition, Tania is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and Paralegals. “Although the firm handles various types of law,” she commented, “estate planning/probate law is my favorite part of the practice.”

She is starting her 31st year career in the legal field which started with Rick Comfort and now again comes full circle working with him once again alongside, Joseph A. Allen, Charles C. Lindberg and Alex C. Driskell.

Prior to joining Allen & Associates law firm in 2016 Charles Lindberg had previously been a sheriff’s deputy for 8 years. He remembered, “I actually started here as a law intern and started practicing under a provisional license about a year before I passed the bar exam in February of 2017.” He continued, “I also have two master’s degrees, one is a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and a Master of Liberal Studies in Rural Advocacy which is really important for small town practice. I am a few credits away from completing my third master’s degree in Organizational Leadership as well and plan to finish that soon.” When asked if he had a specialty he explained, “I’m a general practice attorney, but my passion and the majority of what I do is criminal defense and child in need of care law.”

The law office of Allen & Associates Law, LLC, Joseph A. Allen founding partner, announces the addition of C. Richard Comfort, Esquire. Comfort is a graduate of Minneapolis High School (1974), Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas (1978) (B.A.), Wichita State University (1978) (A.A.) and Washburn Law School (1981) (J.D.).

He opened a law office in Minneapolis, Kansas in 1983 and served as Ottawa County Attorney from 1985 to 1997. In 1997, he sold his office to Joseph A. Allen, and later moved his practice to Concordia, Kansas where he handled litigation for the firm of Condray & Comfort, LLC. In 2007, he took a position with the State of Kansas in the office of the Public Defender at Salina, Kansas. He retired from that position on December 31, 2020. His relationship with Allen & Associates Law, LLC will be “of counsel”.

Comfort is a lifelong resident of Ottawa County, Kansas and is married to Gloria Comfort (f/n/a Scheetz). They currently reside in the rural Bennington area @ 46 Alpine Ridge.

The law office of Allen & Associates Law, LLC, Joseph A. Allen founding partner, announces the addition of Alex C. Driskell. Driskell is a graduate of Taylorville High School (2011), Illinois State University in Normal, IL, (2015) (B.S.), and University of Kansas Law School (2018).

Alex was born in Florida, but grew up in Taylorville, IL. He attended Illinois State University in Normal, IL, graduating in 2015 with a B.S in Psychology and in Criminal Justice Sciences. He then moved to Lawrence, KS to attend law school at KU. He met his wife (Laurel Michel-Driskell) at KU Law, they graduated in 2018, and moved to Salina. Alex’s wife, Laurel, works for the firm Kennedy, Berkeley, Yarnevich, and Williamson in Salina. Alex briefly worked for Great Plains Manufacturing in Purchasing, but was hired at the Saline County Attorney's office in February 2019. Alex joined our firm on January 3, 2022.
