Attorney Spotlight: ✨Lauren Lowry!✨
A summer spent volunteering with elementary school students in one of Lima, Peru’s poorest neighborhoods had a lasting impact on her perspective. The experience helped her recognize the opportunities available in the United States and deepened her understanding of why people may come here not only for a better future, but for their own survival and the well-being of their families.
One of the most meaningful moments in her career is telling a client they have been granted asylum, especially after a long, hard-fought case. For her, the opportunity to change someone’s life is what makes this work so meaningful.
She has also learned an important lesson from her clients: resilience. Despite the challenges they face, their determination to keep moving forward continues to inspire her.
Her advice to those considering a career in immigration law? Although the work can be challenging, especially in today’s climate, it is incredibly important, and we need more advocates fighting for the most vulnerable.
And when she needs a little joy after a difficult day, she turns to Dancing with the Stars, The Traitors, and, of course, time with her beautiful family!
