Davis Immigration Lawyers, a leading Minneapolis immigration law firm, is seeking a paralegal/case manager to work with attorneys on various immigration law matters, including applications for temporary work visas, permanent residence, labor certifications, and naturalization.

Need: Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, proactive work ethic, comfortable with high volume/short deadline law practice, superior writing and communication skills, team orientation, and commitment to immigrant rights.

Preferred but not required: Bachelor’s degree, proficiency in second language (preferably Spanish), and prior experience in the field.

Davis Immigration Lawyers, a leading Minneapolis immigration law firm, is seeking a paralegal/case manager to work with attorneys on various immigration law matters, including applications for temporary work visas, permanent residence, labor certifications, removal & deportation, naturalization, and asylum.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Collecting, examining, and organizing evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation;
· Tracking deadlines, monitoring expiration dates, maintaining database, and efficiently balancing workload;
· Requesting, reviewing, drafting, proofreading, and organizing client documentation/file;
· Responding to client inquiries and managing client expectations based on current process timelines;
· Managing client billing per stage;
· Answering and transferring phone calls;
· Screening calls thoroughly and scheduling consultations with appropriate attorney;
· Preparing and providing appropriate checklists/questionnaires;
· Conducting relevant and comprehensive research;
· Continuously developing and managing process improvement strategies.

Congratulations to our newest attorney, Jeffrey Heidkamp! Jeff received Bachelor’s degrees in History and Education from the University of Illinois in 1999 and his law degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law in 2023.

Prior to commencing his legal career, he worked for 20 years as a teacher, minister, and editor, and regularly served on the board of directors for national religious organizations and local nonprofit startups. Jeff’s immigration law practice is focused primarily on employment and religious-based cases, as well as asylum applications.
