The outbreak of the novel coronavirus has greatly disrupted life as we know it worldwide. In addition to the social distancing guidelines issued by the CDC, the increase in the amount of positive cases in Wisconsin and Illinois have led both states to implement “safer-at-home” orders. While these orders may be alarming, their purpose is to slow the spread of the virus by limiting unnecessary travel and contact between people.
It is normal to feel overwhelmed, scared, or worried about how COVID-19 will affect you and your future.
You are not alone. We are here for you.
We remain open to serve you during this difficult time. To accommodate our clients and make our business as safe as possible, we have implemented the following precautions:
We are currently not scheduling in-person meetings with clients. However, we are available for meetings via telephone or video chat.
We are working remotely as much as possible to limit our contact with others. When at our office, we are following all social distancing recommendations and have increased our sanitation protocols.
We are doing document signings by mail where possible. For documents that require witnesses, we are offering “drive-through” signings to execute the documents in person with little to no contact between individuals.
This is a challenging time, and it has caused many of us to reflect on the structures we have in place to manage our lives. If you find that your estate planning, business planning, or elder care plan are not what you want them to be, please contact us. It is never too late to create a plan that fits your life and protects your goals.
