I am pleased to announce that on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 we learned that the Wisconsin Supreme Court has reversed the judgment of the circuit court terminating our client's parental rights. The issue in the appeal was whether the circuit court's order granting a directed verdict at the close of the state's case, without giving the defense an opportunity to present a case, was structural error requiring automatic reversal. The Supreme Court, in a 52 page opinion and dissent, held that this was, in fact, structural error.

We spent all day yesterday moving into the new offices in the Chase Tower. Everything is not put back together, yet, but it is obvious that this new location will be very impressive.
