I was assigned to represent a child in a guardianship matter about a month ago. Throughout the past week, both guardians were able to set aside their issues with one another and focus their discussions on the child they have raised for 7 years. Shockingly, we negotiated a full Stipulation and the case closed TODAY. Well done to the adults involved. Not only do I appreciate your efforts, the child will recognize and appreciate your efforts too!

Yesterday was a bittersweet day….

Usually I would never share my clients, but this one WANTS me to, and his parents gave me permission. After all, the goal here is to be a YouTube star asap, so don’t forget to hit like and share 😉

My first ever child client was adopted yesterday by his long-term and super awesome family, after a very challenging nine years of litigation. He has grown into an amazing young man, a good student, and the friendliest and most caring person. Congratulations to Leslie, Tasha, and Fern. The case might be closed, but I hope they know they’re not getting rid of me anytime soon!

All work and no play makes for a grumpy lawyer! I had a fabulous Sunday afternoon watching one of my first child clients do his thing with my favorite Boston Area dance school. This young dude has moved mountains since we met; he makes me so proud!

• DO NOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS from an immigration agent if they try to talk to you. You have the right to remain silent.

• DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING without first speaking to a lawyer. You have the right to speak with a lawyer.

• If you are outside of your home, ask the agent if you are free to leave and if they say yes, leave calmly.

• GIVE THIS CARD TO THE AGENT. If you are inside of your home, show the card through the window or slide it under the door.

I do not wish to speak with you, answer your questions, or sign or hand you any documents based on my 5th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution.

I do not give you permission to enter my home based
on my 4th Amendment rights under the United States Constitution unless you have a warrant to enter, signed by a judge or magistrate with my name on it that you slide under the door.

I do not give you permission to search any of my belongings based on my 4th Amendment rights.

I choose to exercise my constitutional rights.
