What the City of Medford is doing to its firefighters is unspeakable. A firefighter was injured on duty and yet the City attempted to deny him his contractual and statutory benefits. Medford Firefighters Local 1032 continues to fight for every member to receive their benefits. I’m happy and honored to be a part of their fight against a union busting City Hall regime

Another great win for a local I’ve had the pleasure to work with IAFF Local 841 New Bedford Firefighters thank you Governor Maura Healey for seeing the importance of keep Engine 9 in service and working with the Union to keep it that way. Great work by Local 841 as always!

ENGINE 9 TO REMAIN IN SERVICE! 🚒🚨

We are pleased to share that Engine 9 will remain open and actively serving the residents of this great city! Following discussions, Governor Maura Healey and the Healey-Driscoll Administration have committed $1.3 million in Municipal Public Safety Staffing (MPSS) funding to keep Engine 9 in service.
This victory would not have been possible without strong leadership and relentless advocacy.
