Scope creep is a real problem for creative professionals and it’s one of the reasons I push so hard for clients and prospective clients to get everything in writing. You want to do everything you can to mitigate problems that can go wrong and it’s impossible to do that when it’s just your word against theirs. Getting a contract in writing can help prevent scope creep, and help you get paid for the work you’re doing.
