With sincere thanks and respect we honor all veterans who have served their country. Especially we think of those veterans of our own families, past and present, including all the Houseals (Hausihls) who served and fought, from the American Revolution and still serve today, particularly Floyd and Hilton Houseal, Killed in Action in World War I and Matthew Houseal, killed in Baghdad while saving others, and those who suffered from the wounds they received. We offer thanks and prayers for those service men and women that did not have the chance to live as veterans because they gave their lives. As George Patton said of them, rather than grieve excessively, we "should thank God that such men lived.."
