Another great Business Law Section of the Florida Bar Labor Day Retreat! This year’s “Southern Hospitality” theme brought together CLEs, committee meetings, time with friends and colleagues, and plenty of fun.

We were especially excited to co-sponsor the College Football Suite and to see the inaugural Charity Poker Tournament raise money for great causes. Congratulations to Amir Isaiah, who took home the win playing for Dr. Phillips Little League!

The defendant in the SEC enforcement action, in which Partner Kenneth Dante Murena P.A. is serving as Court-appointed Receiver, was sentenced to 20 years in prison following a guilty plea in the related criminal action.

To date, Mr. Murena and his team have recovered more than $100 million in funds and other assets and will make a significant distribution to the defrauded investors later this year.
