In the coming months, with your support, we hope to create a space where people can learn the truths about climate change, and are inspired to enact a little change of their own. Understanding how the world works is complicated a
nd sometimes quite frankly depressing. However, seeing the beauty of nature and feeling a connection is a great motivator to get involved. As international relations majors at San Francisco State University, we Changing Impact creators feel the weight of the great 'issues' of our world in daily play-by-plays. Still, however frustrating people and politics get, receiving this information was what led us to want to see change. So we figured, why not try and share it with as many people as possible? Movements happen from the ground up, from a shift in consciousness. In terms of climate change, it’s not that using an energy efficient battery will matter if your neighbors don’t. It’s that making any lifestyle changes, however small, will plant the seed in your mind that you can make a difference. Expect to see everything from videos and blogs to academic articles and graphs [with some cool graphics and photos in between (: ] In addition to impacts abroad, we’ll be spotlighting environmental issues and events in the Bay Area.
