🩺Second Wave Completes Medical Interpretation Training!

🤝Our pursuit of professional excellence continues to grow! This successful second session focused on strengthening the skills of a new group of Indigenous Language Interpreters in the medical field ⚕️, emphasizing best practices for accurate, professional, confidential, and culturally competent healthcare interpretation.

❤️‍🩹As part of our ongoing program, we were delighted to host mental health specialist Astrid Barrera again as a guest contributor. Her vital segment on Emotional Intelligence provided our interpreters with essential tools for navigating sensitive medical encounters with empathy and mental resilience.

This specialized training reinforces our mission to provide high-quality language access for individuals with Limited English Proficiency (LEP). Congratulations to this second dedicated group of interpreters for completing this crucial stage of their professional development! 🎉🌟

Wishing everyone a truly Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a beautiful time dedicated to family, gratitude, and sharing. 🦃

As we celebrate, we reflect on the historical foundation of this tradition. Back in 1621, when early settlers struggled to adapt to unfamiliar lands, the Wampanoag Peoples offered crucial help and shared knowledge that enabled the settlers to survive the winter and cultivate the land. Their cooperation led to a successful harvest, and a shared feast was celebrated that became a timeless symbol of resilience and gratitude. 🌎

Despite the conflicts that later challenged these initial partnerships, the spirit of mutual aid remains vital. Through Indigenous language translation and interpretation, we preserve this spirit, ensuring communication leads to sharing, cooperation, and mutual prosperity. 🤝
