It was great to be back with the Probate & Guardianship Committee after the summer hiatus. Our monthly luncheons will continue this year with Irama Valdes as my Co-Chair! Thanks to Frank Ramos for the great CLE on AI!

Today would have been my grandmother’s 100th birthday.

She worked alongside my grandfather in our family’s law firm — and years later, people who knew her still light up when they talk about her. Kind. Bubbly. A ray of sunshine in a profession that doesn’t always feel light or bright.

Now I get to practice law and mediation within that same firm, alongside my dad. And every day, I try to carry a little of her with me.

Law and mediation often meet people on their hardest days during conflict, loss, and uncertainty. It would be easy to let that harden you. My grandmother never let it harden her. She met people with warmth anyway. She made people’s day a little brighter, just by being in the room.

That’s the legacy I want to build. Not just case outcomes or resolved disputes, but the kind of presence that leaves people feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.

Her legacy is my compass. 🧭 Happy 100th birthday, Gege. I hope I’m making you proud.

Celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday and the rule of law that has guided it every step of the way. 🇺🇸🎆

At Miami Mediation Group, we’re proud to carry that legacy forward — helping people resolve conflict peacefully, choosing collaboration over division, and strengthening the communities we serve.

Happy Independence Day from Miami Mediation Group!

Excited to share that I’ve been selected as a 2026 Super Lawyers Rising Star in Alternative Dispute Resolution — an honor I’ve now received three years running.

Fewer than 2.5% of attorneys are named Rising Stars each year, and I’m proud to be among them in a field I care deeply about. Thank you to everyone who has supported my work in mediation.

Coffee, mic check, content collection — just another day representing as their Communications Committee Chair. Here’s a behind the scenes at the Annual Convention. So much goes into an event like this, and it’s always worth it. Grateful for this community and for everyone who made Try Someone New come to life. ⚖️✨

Thrilled to announce that Irama Valdes Irama Valdes, P.A. and I have been appointed Co-Chairs of the Miami-Dade Bar Probate & Guardianship Committee for the 2026–2027 bar year! 🎉

We have incredibly big shoes to fill. Dale Noll has served as Chair of this committee with tremendous dedication for many years, and his leadership has set a standard we are honored to carry forward.

For me, this role is deeply personal. My father has served as a Vice Chair on this committee for over 35 years, and my brother, Matt Moschell, currently serves as a Vice Chair as well. Continuing our family’s commitment to this committee is an honor I don’t take lightly.

Probate, guardianship, and elder law mediation represent the core of my practice at Miami Mediation Group. I bring that dual perspective to this committee. Not just as a trusts and estates attorney, but also as a neutral who helps families resolve these matters outside the courtroom.

We have a big year ahead, including monthly luncheons with outstanding speakers. Mark your calendars for the second Thursday of each month!

Stay tuned for more. If you’re a Miami-Dade Bar member, we’d love to see you at our events this year.

Last week, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of The Florida Bar joined forces with the ADR and Elder Law Committees of the Miami-Dade Bar and our sponsor, Melanie Hyer of Pro Estate Realty, to host a mixer that brought attorneys and neutrals together from near and far. The conversations, connections, and shared passion for resolving disputes made this event something we’re excited to build on.

Mediation for probate disputes offers families a structured, confidential space to work through the emotional and financial pressures that often surface in these matters.

Resolving probate disputes through mediation can help preserve estate assets, protect sensitive family history from becoming public, and it can provide parties the chance to find common ground without the strain of litigation.

When families need support navigating these issues, I work to provide parties with compassionate guidance rooted in over 15 years of experience working in the area of estate planning and administration and more than 10 years helping people resolve disputes.
