Today would have been my grandmother’s 100th birthday.

She worked alongside my grandfather in our family’s law firm — and years later, people who knew her still light up when they talk about her. Kind. Bubbly. A ray of sunshine in a profession that doesn’t always feel light or bright.

Now I get to practice law and mediation within that same firm, alongside my dad. And every day, I try to carry a little of her with me.

Law and mediation often meet people on their hardest days during conflict, loss, and uncertainty. It would be easy to let that harden you. My grandmother never let it harden her. She met people with warmth anyway. She made people’s day a little brighter, just by being in the room.

That’s the legacy I want to build. Not just case outcomes or resolved disputes, but the kind of presence that leaves people feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.

Her legacy is my compass. 🧭 Happy 100th birthday, Gege. I hope I’m making you proud.

Thrilled to announce that Irama Valdes Irama Valdes, P.A. and I have been appointed Co-Chairs of the Miami-Dade Bar Probate & Guardianship Committee for the 2026–2027 bar year! 🎉

We have incredibly big shoes to fill. Dale Noll has served as Chair of this committee with tremendous dedication for many years, and his leadership has set a standard we are honored to carry forward.

For me, this role is deeply personal. My father has served as a Vice Chair on this committee for over 35 years, and my brother, Matt Moschell, currently serves as a Vice Chair as well. Continuing our family’s commitment to this committee is an honor I don’t take lightly.

Probate, guardianship, and elder law mediation represent the core of my practice at Miami Mediation Group. I bring that dual perspective to this committee. Not just as a trusts and estates attorney, but also as a neutral who helps families resolve these matters outside the courtroom.

We have a big year ahead, including monthly luncheons with outstanding speakers. Mark your calendars for the second Thursday of each month!
