Today, we pause to honor the men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. Veterans Day reminds us that our freedom has been preserved through the courage, sacrifice, and a steadfast sense of duty of our veterans.
Originally known as Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I on November 11, 1918, this day has evolved to recognize all who have served in defense of our nation. Each generation of Veterans has carried the torch of liberty, often at great personal cost, so that others may live in peace and security.
To every Veteran: thank you for your service, your courage, and your example. We honor not only what you’ve done, but who you are, the quiet strength behind every freedom we enjoy.
🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We are grateful.
