Probate doesn’t always have to be a months-long process.
If a loved one passes away leaving only a small amount of assets, Florida law may allow you to skip formal probate entirely through a process called Disposition Without Administration.
Think of it as a probate shortcut. Instead of a lengthy court case, you file a simple application with the Clerk of Court. If approved, the bank is legally required to release your loved one’s funds directly to you.
But it only works if you qualify and the requirements are very specific.
