Insurance companies are watching every move you make in a negotiation, and folding early is the costliest mistake you can make.

Scott Aigen breaks down the strategy: aim high, back your demand with facts, and be ready to walk away. Moving too fast or conceding too soon tells the insurance company you'll settle for less than you deserve.

At the end of the day, the strategy is ours, but the decision is always yours. We guide, you choose.

Don't negotiate with an insurance company alone. Call us first.

A North Beach construction accident is raising a question every injured worker needs to ask: who else could be responsible?

Workers' compensation may cover certain workplace injuries, but that's not always the full picture. When a negligent third party, like a property owner, general contractor, or subcontractor, contributes to the accident, an additional personal injury claim may be possible.

Determining who controlled the work and the hazard can make a real difference in what you're owed.

One accident. More than one potential claim. Knowing the difference matters, and it's worth having someone in your corner who knows how to find it.

Slip and fall in a supermarket, no warning signs on the floor. Case or no case?

It's not a simple answer, and that's exactly why insurance companies bank on you not knowing the law. As the plaintiff, the burden of proof is on YOU. You have to show the store knew about the hazard, or should have known, before you fell.

No witnesses? No video surveillance? No idea where the water came from or how long it sat there? That's how a legit injury turns into "no case."

I hear this exact scenario from clients constantly. Every one is different because it comes down to the facts, the evidence, and the story you can prove.

If you slipped in a market with no warning signs, standing water, or any dangerous condition, call me. Let's look at the facts and build your case.

A cruise line banked on nobody being able to prove they knew. They were wrong.

A passenger stepped into a hot tub, the deck grate gave way beneath her, and she fell hard enough to injure her shoulder. The hard part in cases like this is never the injury, it's proving the cruise line knew the hazard existed before it hurt someone.

Our team found the proof in the last place the cruise line expected: a YouTube vlog from other passengers on that same cruise, showing the overflow grate already missing pieces before the fall ever happened.

That's the difference between a claim that gets dismissed and one that gets paid. If you were hurt because a property owner ignored a hazard they knew about, we know exactly where to look.

Slip and fall in a supermarket, no warning signs anywhere. Case or no case?

Here's the truth: falling isn't enough. You have to prove the store was negligent, knew about the hazard, and did nothing. Where did the water come from? How long was it there? Do you have witnesses or video surveillance?

No proof, no case. That's just the reality of it.

But if there's a dangerous condition and the evidence is there, these cases can be won. You just need someone who knows how to dig into the facts and build it.

Had a slip and fall with no warning signs? Give us a call and let's see what we're working with.

Hit by a stolen car? Here's the hard truth: the owner isn't liable; their car was stolen too. Your only path is going after the thief, and let's be real: that person usually has no assets and no insurance to pay you back.

This is exactly why uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage matters. It's the safety net that kicks in when the at-fault party can't be identified or can't pay, whether that's a stolen vehicle situation or a hit-and-run.

Most people don't even know they have this coverage until they need it. Check your policy today. If you're not sure what you're looking at, call us. We'll walk you through it.

A farm worker spent over 30 years working the land. Then a fumigation delivery system ruptured, spraying pesticide directly into his eye.

The damage was permanent.

Scott Aigen fought to obtain meaningful compensation for the harm our client suffered, securing a $3 million settlement for a lifetime of consequences that never should have happened.

When a workplace injury changes your life, the outcome matters. Injured on the job? Contact our team to discuss your case.

"I don't know what else to do." That's the moment insurance companies are counting on.

They deny claims because they say it's your fault. They lowball because they know most people don't push back. It's not personal, it's just what's "in their best interest."

Here's the truth: you have options. We try to settle first. If that doesn't get you what's fair, we get aggressive, file the lawsuit, and prepare for trial. Depositions matter because that's where you tell your story and they realize who they're actually up against.

You fell. You got hurt. You missed work. You deserve to be made whole, not managed.

📲 Call Aigen Injury Law. We prepare so you don't have to settle for less than you deserve.
