Paul Steven Singerman was quoted in the South Florida South Florida Sun Sentinel on Brightline’s Chapter 11 filing, including the decision to keep the company’s rail operations outside of the bankruptcy proceedings.

Paul discusses how provisions of the Bankruptcy Code applicable to railroad restructurings may have factored into that approach, as well as the work that can take place before a Chapter 11 filing to reach an agreement with stakeholders.

Brightline parent companies filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Friday, but Brightline Trains Florida, which operates the high-speed train line from South to Central Florida, is not affected.
