Florida's new Modified Comparative Fault standard.

The new rule, known as a modified comparative fault, absolves wrongdoers for their negligent actions that cause injury so long as their negligence was 49% or less. If a jury determines you were at least 51% responsible for your injury, you recover NADA. This new rule does not hold everyone accountable for their percentage of fault and instead punishes a Plaintiff from recovering the difference of what they otherwise would have received due to another's negligence.

Statute of limitations has been reduced to 2 years.
