Hi everyone!
Anthony Cobb, Case #91-5033(c), has been incarcerated for 31years.
Prior to his trial, the State asked him would he waive his rights to a twelve man jury, in exchange for six, and that he would not face the death penalty.
Three of his codefendants, who are the actual killers, had a separate trial from Anthony, so the state knew that they didn't have evidence to convince twelve jurors that Anthony Cobb should be sentenced to death, because Anthony's codefendants went to trial before. A decision made necessary by the trial Judge.
So Anthony's attorney - Jeffrey Feiler - convinced him to take the offer.
Moving forward. Anthony has had two parole hearings, and the Florida Commission on Offender Review (FCOR), refuses to give Anthony a separate hearing from his codefendants, so that he can get a fair parole hearing based on his merits and accomplishments. If the trial Judge deemed it necessary to separate Anthony from his codefendants, should not FCOR do the same?
