Happy 95th Birthday to the Revolutionary, the American Hero, undeniably the most recognizable, influential, and powerful person this country has ever seen.
Today; I hope we all take time to reflect on his legacy; including the most tragic parts. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King was cowardly assassinated by racists who thought him and all Black people unworthy of basic human rights. Though revered today for his non-violent philosophy; during his life; he was not. And in the end; despite his efforts he faced the ultimate violence.
He was a freedom fighter; who stood at the front lines of the Civil Rights movement; often literally and in the face of physical, emotional, political, and economic violence. BUT HE KEPT MOVING.
At Whitehouse Law Group, our Motto; “Bend It Toward Justice” is an ode to him; and the movement for human rights he so bravely led until the day he died.
