Yesterday, members of the Sioli Alexander Pino team, led by Marine Council President Frank Sioli, attended the Miami Marine Council Luncheon and were pleased to bring our Summer Associates & Law Clerks along for the experience.

The luncheon featured a presentation by the U.S. Coast Guard on mass migration, Operation Vigilant Sentry, and its impact on the maritime and legal community. As a firm with an extensive admiralty & maritime practice, we value opportunities to stay informed on the developments shaping our region and our clients’ businesses.

A key component of our Summer Associate & Law Clerk Program is providing meaningful exposure to the legal profession beyond the office. Through industry events, networking opportunities, and educational programs like this one, our clerks gain a broader perspective on the communities, industries, and professionals that intersect with the practice of law.

Sioli Alexander Pino was proud to sponsor the 13th Annual Kevin Shea Memorial Golf Outing in support of the Kevin Shea Memorial Fund.

Our Director, Frank Sioli, had a great time at the course, connecting with fellow attendees and supporting a meaningful cause that closely aligns with our firm’s maritime and insurance law practice.

The Fund provides annual distributions to students pursuing the study of marine insurance, helping support the next generation entering the industry.

Please join us in welcoming Fernando A. Cordal, Esq. to the team! Fernando is an Associate Attorney handling Defense Base Act claims.

Fernando earned his B.A. in Humanities from , and his J.D. with a concentration in Health Law from Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school, he served as President of the Cuban American Bar Association, Treasurer of the Cuban American Bar Association, and member of the Health Law Transactional Team.

Fernando began his legal career working at a health insurance plaintiffs’ firm and then gained experience at a first party property defense firm.

Our Account Manager, Paul Alexander, represented Sioli Alexander at last week’s annual Property Insurance Claims Group Conference (PICG).

It was an excellent opportunity to engage with international industry leaders and discuss the key property issues shaping today’s market. The sessions on major catastrophes were especially relevant and insightful, helping us stay informed and proactive for our clients.

Thank you to PICG for hosting another outstanding conference!

And when the formalities wrapped up, Paul took some time to enjoy London, taking to the tennis courts and the city.

Please join us in welcoming Ryan Trout to the team! Ryan is an Associate Attorney focused on Defense Base Act claims.

Ryan earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida and his J.D. from St. Thomas University. He was involved in the federalist society, and was Professor Stephen Plass's Legal Research Assistant, performing in-depth research on employment law and discrimination matters.

Ryan began his legal career completing substantive legal work with the Miami-Dade County School Board's Office of Legal Counsel and contributing to the defense of the School Board. He worked with plaintiff's counsel on personal injury matters.
