JJC attorney Rachel Naquin has filed a second lawsuit against St. Bernard Parish Hospital on behalf of another patient who was informed her doctor sexually assaulted her while under anesthesia.

According to the filing, the hospital waited 34 days after receiving a staff report of the assault to notify the patient.

Last week, Rachel Naquin, Cayce, and Jeff participated in an all-day LSBA CLE seminar focused on cutting-edge developments in legal practice. Rachel co-chaired the seminar and presented on "AI in the Fifth Circuit" with Jess Waltman, while Cayce and Jeff teamed up with Chloe Chetta to present on practical AI tools for attorneys.

It was a fantastic day of learning and connection—complete with a special presentation from the Chief Disciplinary Counsel for the State of Louisiana.

JJC was the Crowd Favorite at this year's New Orleans Bar Association's Bar & Grille Competition.

The Bar & Grille law firm cooking competition is a fundraiser for the Veterans Justice Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship provides life-changing civil legal help to address the needs of low-income veterans in the New Orleans area. The New Orleans Bar & Grille is a unique opportunity that brings the legal community and private business together to fund the fellowship.

The JJC ""Scalawags"" dazzled with their maritime and pirate themed Smashworthy Vessel, their take on the traditional smashburger.

The Scalawags included attorneys Rachel Naquin handling front of the house/booth and Grant Wood on the grill smashin patties expertly prepared by special guest Judge Marcus DeLarge. Jimmy Courtenay and Cayce Peterson assisted with setup and sous-chef responsibilities.

Special thanks to Judge LaKeisha Jefferson of Civil District Court for chairing an excellent event along with Alex Domingue of Mouledoux Bland and Mollie Overton of the Louisiana Fourth Circuit.
