From MISD:

The Mesquite Police Department, the Mesquite Fire Department and Mesquite ISD will be conducting a public safety training exercise at Florence Black Elementary this evening. This training event will take place from approximately 6 - 9 p.m. You may notice several emergency vehicles at the campus after school and this evening. Please do not be alarmed as they are only training to help better serve our community. The park next to the school will close to the public at 4 p.m. today in preparation for this exercise.

Parents of incoming 6th, 7th and 8th Graders of Agnew!!!

We need parents for the 2020/2021 PTA Board. This board is a team of parents and Agnew Staff that works together...

I know it seems like this could be very time consuming.. Let me just give you a little back story on my life and PTA has been a part of it always.

I am a wife, mom, full time employee, on the PTA Board (I have done quite a few positions), Outreach for church, Children's Church Teacher, Help in Youth and work to do things in our community area.. I don't tell you this say " hey I can do all this" I am explaining that PTA does not take up much time to where you don't have time for other things. I also want to express how IMPORTANT it is to be a part of PTA because you are the one who is your Childs biggest fan.. We want to be able to host and do things for both the kids and staff of Agnew!

The Agnew Staff is very great at being a part of this! We truly all work as a team!

What is being on PTA consist of?
Communication- Rather in person, text or even what up app..
Meeting- Maybe 3 times a year
Planning Fundraisers
Planning Membership Drives
Keeping communication out through Social Media (we have a Agnew Facebook and a Agnew Parent Strong page)

Working together as a Team and you get to know kids your kids go to school with!!!

Hello! I would like to keep Agnew PTA Board moving as we have worked so hard to get where we are. We are truly a team! In the next few weeks we need to work on forming the PTA Board for the 2021/2022 Year! If you would like to hold a board position please message me your contact information.
Being on the PTA board is a very important role. As a parent it helps keep you in contact with what is going on at the school but also is for you to advocate for the kids.

Being on PTA is not as time consuming you may think. Please ask questions. Please message me if you have any questions or if you would like to hold a position on the board.

Hello everyone! Wanted to check on our Agnew Families... How is everyone? Also here are some locations for warming shelters..

Mesquite opens Evans Recreation Center as temporary warming center
Mesquite, TX – February 16, 2021 – Due to the continuation of rolling power outages, the City of Mesquite will open Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest Street, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as a temporary warming center on Feb. 16. The temporary warming center will reopen Feb. 17 and Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Each of our c|Life campuses have electricity, so if you or someone you know need a place to warm up, charge your phone up, and drink up on some hot coffee, please come join us!

Hello everyone! PTA needs your help. I know this year is so different but we want to show we can keep moving forward.. PTA memberships are $7.00 per member that signs up. If you have signed up Great! If not please send in the form with $7.00. We would like to do something for the kids and staff but can't without the funds. If you need a form please let me know.
We pushed the Kindle Drawing out so we can get more kids in the drawing. Please please help support your PTA!!

Please have all the kids take the forms to Mrs. Jones in the Library or Ms. Bates in the office.

Lets support Agnew and lets show that no matter what hits we keep moving forward!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to remind you that PTA is going full force. We want to get as many students, parents and family members signed up as possible. Even though we have COVID going on we want to do some things for the Kids and Staff!!! Membership fee is $7.00. There is a form that went through skyward to fill out. If you need a form please message me your email address and I will get one to you.
