Without fail, every February 29th, I do two things, I re-season my cast iron skillets (I’ll leave directions on how to do this in the comments) and I review my Last Will and Testament.
You would be surprised what can change in four years. Four years ago I wasn’t a grandpa, I had two minor kids, and I owned different property. I’ve renewed my cast iron to like new status, and I’m sure it will work better. Now it’s time to do the same for my estate.

Thanksgiving is upon us! Just a reminder to those navigating this holiday with children, who have recently gone through a divorce: I know you’ve got paper work, I know these papers tell you what you MUST do, but they don’t tell you what you can and should do. Work with your former spouse if possible so your kids can see as many grandparents and relatives as they can. They will love you for it one day. Holidays are tough for recent divorcies, imagine how hard it is for the kids. Help them get an extra helping of love and attention.

Our office will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. We hope you and yours eat more than you should and sleep more than you need.

If you are a victim of domestic abuse and you’ve got a hidden or “burner” cell phone that you keep for your own personal emergency, you might want to turn it off today.

In the same vein, if you hear a noise coming from a cell phone you didn’t know your spouse had, and you’ve suspected they’ve been having an affair, it might be time to give us a call.

Americans' cellphones will get an alert from the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Wednesday.
