Earlier this year, “Thirty-One Flavors of SLATs” showed just how many options exist when crafting a Spousal Lifetime Access Trust. This is the follow-up you asked for: a working drafting session. Jonathan Blattmachr, Martin Shenkman, Teresa Bush, and Thomas Tietz will draft a SLAT for a realistic — not ultra-wealthy — client in real time, using automated document assembly. They’ll weigh options, make decisions, and explain why each provision is in or out.
