Thank you, Lynne, for your kind words!

The truth is, many people believe that estate attorneys are here to hand you over a few documents and then call it a day.

While that may be true for some, I consider myself more than your estate attorney — I'm also your supporter and close family friend (who just happens to know a lot about estate planning).

With over 20 years of experience in estate planning (and having a family of my own), I understand how overwhelming estate planning can feel.

After all, most people don’t think of death and dying and wills and trusts as polite dinner conversation starters.

I’ll help create a comfortable environment for you and your loved ones to engage with some of life’s most challenging topics so you can make some of life’s most important decisions.

By getting to know your family, your legacy wishes, and your concerns, I tailor the estate planning experience to you.

My promise is that after our time together, you’ll feel empowered by the progress you’re making and confident in your estate's future!

If you're ready to have an experience like Lynne, let's chat! Click the link in my bio to get in touch.

When it comes to estate planning, it’s normal to feel...

➡️ Confused by mind-numbing legal jargon
➡️ Concerned with the legitimacy of documents from self-service platforms
➡️ Unable to tell information from misinformation
➡️ Overwhelmed by the number of documents you might need in your estate plan
➡️ Uneasy with the sensitive nature of estate planning itself

I can help you resolve all these issues and more.

If you’re looking for an estate planner to trust with your family legacy, who can make the planning process easy, and who will make an effort to understand your current and future needs…

I’m your attorney in life and death.

Every great friendship begins with getting to know each other’s likes and dislikes, so here are some of mine! (P.S. Take a tally of which ones you relate to!)

𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙢𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜: Grease, the Harry Potter series, or Ted Lasso.

𝙄𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙘𝙪𝙥: A homemade caramel macchiato and smoothie to start the day, seltzer water all day long, and Ranch Water or an Aviation by night.

𝙈𝙮 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙛: Anything by Seanan McGuire, under any name, contemporary fiction of all types, and books about death and dying. (Fitting?)

𝙄’𝙢 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤: News and politics podcasts, Unlocking Us by Brené Brown or We Can Do Hard Things with Glennon Doyle.

𝙁𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚: Serving on the Board of Managers for the Bernon Family Branch of the Hockomock Area YMCA, running (although my marathoning and ultramarathoning days are likely behind me), and traveling with my family.

𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙡𝙡 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙢𝙚: Gardening. No matter how many weeds you pull, they always come back up!

What was your final tally? Let me know in the comments!

A well-designed estate plan is one of the most important gifts you can give your family.

And let's be honest — death, taxes, inheritance, and other estate-related subjects are often as difficult to plan for as they are to talk about.

That is why I'm here to demystify these taboo topics, streamline the planning process, and help you gain a little well-deserved peace of mind.

Families caught unprepared when tragedy strikes are often pulled apart due to complicated financial disagreements — not to mention expensive, protracted litigation.

Even in families where everyone gets along, the lack of an estate plan (or an incomplete, “unfunded” estate plan) can cause significant court and legal fees and tie-up distributions for a year or more.

Together, we’ll build a comprehensive roadmap to guide them through the inevitable complexities that can arise regarding your assets, so you can spend less time stressed out about the unknown and more time enjoying the here and now.

How well do you know your estate planning facts? Let's go Mythbusters style on some of these common estate planning myths. 😎

❌ Only wealthy families need estate plans.
✅ No matter your wealth, estate planning is key to setting your family up for generational success.

❌ All my assets automatically go to my spouse.
✅ Some may, but it’s not always that simple. It’s always better to have everything laid out in clear terms to avoid confusion.

❌ I already have a will, so I’m covered.
✅ A will is a great start, but there’s more to consider. Incapacity, health emergencies, and digital assets are just a few issues a will may not address.

❌ Only older families need estate plans.
✅ Anyone over 18 should have an estate plan. I’m a firm believer in the idea that it’s never too early to start planning for your future.

❌ I have a will so I don’t need to go through probate.
✅ A will is only used if you DO go through probate, since it’s a set of instructions for the court.

❌ My cousin/aunt/college roommate dealt with probate in another state and it was simple!
✅ Estate planning is state-specific. This means the process and how well it works varies greatly from state to state.

❌ My young adult child is in college and fully financially dependent upon me, so they don't need their own estate plan.
✅ No other person has the right to make medical and legal decisions for individuals 18 years and older.

Let me know in the comments how many of these myths you knew were false! Did any surprise you?

What's the difference between a self-service legal platform (Like LegalZoom) and an attorney?

While you could go to a self-service platform and save some money initially, what you can't get out of these is peace of mind that you've done everything correctly and that it is all legally sound.

Many people don't realize that the documents they receive from these platforms aren't...

🚫 State-specific
🚫 Well-drafted
🚫 Too customizable (they'll let you change anything and everything, and you run the risk of creating documents with internal contradictions or that do things you do not want them to)
🚫 Or not customizable enough (which means you'll receive documents that don't pertain to your unique situation)

When you work with an experienced estate planning attorney like me, I'll know...

✅ What documents are appropriate for your unique situation
✅ How to advise you on decisions you need to make during the process
✅ You, your family, and your goals so I can update your documents as life changes

So although working with an attorney often comes with an intimidating price tag, you have to ask yourself what it's costing you, in the long run, to not have a plan to protect you, your family, and your legacy.

Only one more day until the Estatewise Advisory website officially launches!

Throughout my career, I've been asked one common question — a question I see popping up frequently now that I'm launching my business. And I thought today, before the launch, was the perfect time to address it.

The question: "Don't I have to be wealthy or old to have an estate plan?"

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to wait until retirement or have millions of dollars in assets to start an estate plan.

Myths like these are the reason ⅔ of U.S. households don’t have an estate strategy, despite agreeing that having one is extremely important.

Estate planning seems to be like eating our vegetables or working out. We know we should, and we know we'll feel better once we do, but sometimes, it’s hard to get started!

A complete estate plan protects you right now and after your passing. Plus, it ensures the people you love will get what they need for a successful future while avoiding legal battles.

You worked hard to build your wealth, and I'm here to help you protect your legacy...

Have any questions until then? Leave them in the comments!
