We’ll be closing the office early* this afternoon for one of our favorite annual traditions: the SLF & ARS Lobstah Bake!

With one of our shareholders proudly hailing from New England, this tradition is a must. So, we’re takin’ the afternoon to enjoy some good food, great company, and a wicked good time with our team.

Thanks for your understanding, and as they say up North… we'll see ya tamorrah! 🦞

*this early closing applies to walk-ins and incoming phone calls only. All pre-scheduled appointments and phone conferences will remain on the schedule, as planned.

The workplace has changed dramatically over the past century, but the reasons we celebrate Labor Day have not.

Labor Day honors the people whose work builds and sustains this country. Today, we honor our clients, our coworkers, and our neighbors.

Our office is closed in observance of Labor Day. We’ll return to the office tomorrow, ready to assist you.

Wishing you and your family a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.

We reported in March of last year that FinCEN removed the beneficial ownership reporting requirements for all domestic entities. This was an interim final rule, to be finalized at a later date. On August 11, 2026, FinCEN issued the final rule, which is effective on its publication in the Federal Register.

FinCEN has also announced that they will delete all information previously reported by U.S. persons. For those who reported in 2024 and early 2025, before multiple court injunctions and reversals culminated in FinCEN's interim final rule narrowing the scope of BOI reporting, this marks a clear and welcome resolution.

We're proud to, once again, support Crawford Gives, an event dedicated to strengthening the causes and organizations that make our Crawford County community better. This year, a few of our attorneys and staff sat down to talk about why giving back matters to them and why Shafer Law Firm and Allegheny Realty Settlement keep showing up for this event year after year. Take a look at the video below, and join us in supporting Crawford Gives this year - August 19-21!

This Fourth of July marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, a milestone worth celebrating. We're grateful for the rule of law that has carried this country through two and a half centuries, and for the clients and communities we get to serve because of it.

Our offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. We'll be back to regular hours on Monday, July 6th.

Wishing you and your family a safe and meaningful Independencd Day!
