It’s been a long time coming, but we finally have the end in sight! As of now, the lake refill is expected to happen in December. You better be DAM READY when the time comes!

What you should be doing now to prepare:

🗑️ Clean trash and debris from your yard/lakebed. It’s a good time to clear anything from the shallow waters as well if you can safely access them.
🌿 Cut down plants that have grown in the grassy portion of your lakebed. These can cause people and water craft to get injured or tangled up once they’re covered in water. This includes removing any stumps in the water since they are easier to access now than they will be once the water refills.
🛟 Have a plan in place for removing water craft, floats, floating docks, or any temporary structures that have been put in place while the water was down. If these float away, they can create hazards in the water after refill and can even float over to clog the dam and cause the refill process to pause and be pushed back months. Don’t be “that guy” who causes that to happen!
