This client came to us with a new family violence charge and a pending motion to adjudicate his felony probation. This combination can result in serious prison time. We took on both cases and fought hard. The new family violence charge was dismissed, the State withdrew its motion to adjudicate, and the felony case was dismissed.

The case doesn’t always end when a person is sentenced. Here, we were hired for one goal: to get our client off of his probation early. We achieved that goal after showing the Court the growth and change in our client and his successes while on probation. As a result, our client can finally move on with his life six months earlier than he anticipated.

Sometimes the police make the wrong call on who is arrested in a family violence situation. Through our thorough investigation, we were able to show the District Attorney’s Office who the real aggressor was in this situation. They dismissed the charge. Our client’s career and reputation are restored.

When officers make the wrong call, it can bring a case crashing down. In this one, we dug into the details surrounding the road and quickly realized just because a road curves does not mean a turn signal is required. After a hearing involving the testimony of the officer and arguments from both sides, the Court agreed with us and granted our motion to suppress evidence.
