What’s up Sophisticated Business Owners! Happy Thursday/Jupiter day 💫
Ok so look, everyone will not understand or support your vision. That’s why it was given to you and not them.
I remember telling everyone that I was going to become a lawyer and them laughing in my face and discouraging me because well, they didn’t believe in my vision.
I kept pushing toward my dream anyways. I’ve always gone against the norm. In fact, opposition makes me fight harder. 🤷🏾♀️
Even at 8 months pregnant, I believed in my vision and applied to law school.
I almost gave in to the naysayers though when I got accepted into law school.
There I was offered an opportunity that I spent so many years dreaming about and I doubted myself because I had a new born baby.
People closest to me told me I could never do law school as a single mom with a baby.
I almost believed them. I really did.
But then, I had that pep talk with myself. Y’all know what I’m talking about and if you don’t you need to start.
After days going back and forth mentally, I spoke to my inner self and said listen, it’s better to try and fail than to not try at all. 💯
I went on and attended law school with my 6 month old and to my surprise, I kicked law schools tail.
Each semester, this single mom who was still breastfeeding made the deans list. 🧠
At graduation, I walked across that stage Magna Cum Laude and with one of the most prestigious clerkships of my class. Favor!
Needless to say, the naysayers were wrong and my vision not only came to pass, but it was bigger and brighter than I ever imagined.

So, keep envisioning your goals and regardless of the naysayers, EXECUTE!
