The most disheartening thing about this business is when folks reach out to ask for you to engage in shady business. Countless times over the past decade, I have had to let folks know that Im not her 💯

Essentially, these potential customers have asked for me to risk my livelihood, my commission, my integrity, and my responsibility to be due diligent in order to help save them.

The below screenshot is from a random. But here are some examples of requests that came from people I personally know...

Scenario 1: we just brought a car and the seller didnt sign back of title. Hes not answering the phone anymore. If "we get it signed," can you notarize it for us, FAM

Scenario 2: my mans is upstate on his last appeal. Here goes a letter from a witness. She at work though. "Can you just stamp it", BOO

Scenario 3: my ex-husband wont sign these divorce papers. He in prison. "If I get somebody to sign it," can you notarize it, FRIEND

Scenario 4: my mom aint doing too good. She never signed her last will & testament. My brother is blowing thru her account. "If I get it signed," can you notarize it, SIS

Ironically, not a single aforementioned individual has come to me for a legitimate need. And there are many others with wild stories. Mentally noted.

I have certainly made some mistakes of my own on this journey. But throughout this entire decade, I can assure you, I am not THAT notary. Go get somebody else to do it 😎

My favorite notary appointments, are those within medical facilities. Why? Because it reminds me of why I got into this business to begin with.

In the state of Pennsylvania, a is a state appointed official, who is commissioned by the Department of State to serve as an impartial witness. A single commission is valid for four consecutive years, before the need to reapply.

On this day, in 2016, I successfully began my first term. As of today, I am in the middle of my third term. This means, for the last I have served as a commissioned Notary Public, by and for the State of Pennsylvania 🥳

I am celebrating 10 years as a PA Notary Public.

This all began while my siblings and I were nevigating our father's inevitable death to prostate cancer. If we were dealing with the difficulty of locating a Notary Public, then others had to certainly be enduring it as well.
