There are so many areas to work in the Legal field, and such a need! It was a pleasure to talk to the iJag class today and share how to do so. We love seeing young people interested in the work we do at BKFL!

Man oh man what an awesome presentation we had today from Jack, Jennifer and John from Brown, Kinsey, Funkhouser & Lander law firm today! I’ve had a few students interested in getting into the law field after high school and these 3 spent all afternoon with our students informing them how to get involved. It was extremely exciting to see our students engage and ask pertinent questions about their interests. We cant thank you three enough for taking time out of your busy schedules to come and help build a future for our students! They walked away from class excited, eager and enlightened! We love our employer engagement!

Tomorrow (9/17), we are excited to welcome the Iowa Court of Appeals to Clear Lake for a public session of oral arguments in celebration of Constitution Day! ⚖️ Arguments begin at 9:30am in the E.B. Stillman Auditorium at the Clear Lake Middle School. There will be a Q&A immediately following.

In anticipation of arguments, the Cerro Gordo County Bar Association has put together a Social tonight (9/16). The Social will be from 🕔 5:00-7:00pm at the📍Surf Music Enrichment Center, Clear Lake. Appetizers are provided and a cash bar will be available. All are welcome!

Come out, learn, and observe how Iowa’s laws and rights are made!
