What does a real estate agent in Maryville, TN actually do all day?

Apparently, a lot of things that would get some serious side eye in any other career. 😂

At this point, photographing water heaters, knowing strangers’ financial histories, and getting emotionally attached to houses I don’t even own all feel completely normal.

I’m Andrea Jones, Maryville, TN local and real estate advisor.

🏡 Should you buy a home now or wait for mortgage rates to come down?

It’s one of the biggest questions I’m hearing from buyers and sellers in Maryville, Knoxville, and across East Tennessee right now.

Here’s the thing—waiting for the “perfect” interest rate isn’t always the best way to decide when to move.

Your decision should also depend on your monthly payment, home prices, available inventory, your equity if you’re selling, and most importantly—what’s happening in your life.

People are still moving. They’re relocating to East Tennessee, upsizing, downsizing, buying their first homes and selling homes that no longer fit their needs.

And if rates eventually drop? Refinancing may be an option. But the house you want—and today’s price—isn’t guaranteed to still be there.

So should YOU buy, sell or wait?

That answer is different for everyone. I’d rather sit down, look at the numbers and help you figure out what makes sense for you—without the pressure.

If you're thinking about buying, selling or relocating to East Tennessee, let's talk.

If you know… you know 😍

We followed a line of cars out into the countryside and ended up at Smokin F’s BBQ — and let me tell you, it was worth every minute.

Waited about 40 minutes to order, grabbed some seriously good BBQ, and then just sat back and soaked it all in… country music playing, wide open views, and yes… Highland cows hanging out 🐮

This is that true East Tennessee experience people move here for.

👉 Pro tip: BYOB
👉 Go hungry
👉 Be ready to slow down and enjoy it

If you’re exploring hidden gems in East Tennessee, this one’s a must.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Andrea Jones — your East Tennessee REALTOR®️ helping buyers and sellers navigate the Maryville and surrounding areas. Thinking about making a move or just exploring the area? I’m always here as a resource.
