First-time buyers rose to 35%, the highest since June 2020, as inventory opened entry points. Demand remains competitive with 25% of homes selling above list price, but sentiment cooled and homes averaged 2.3 offers.

June’s housing market hits peak season as sales typically jump 8.2% and prices typically rise 3.9%. Inventory nears 2.6M and homes sell in about 30 days, with first‑time buyers reaching 32%. **For STL area home sellers/buyers, these stats are right in line with our area EXCEPT in the more desirable areas homes priced appropriately are going under contract in fewer than 30 days.
