To the People of Texas,
My heart is broken for you.
As I’ve watched the news and heard the reports of the devastating flooding across Texas, I’ve been deeply moved by the stories of families torn apart, homes destroyed, and lives lost. The rising death toll is not just a statistic—it represents real people, real pain, and an overwhelming amount of grief that no one should have to carry alone.
To those who have lost loved ones, I want you to know that my prayers and thoughts are with you. I may not know your name or your story, but I am grieving with you. I am standing in faith for your healing, your comfort, and your strength in the days ahead.
Let me say this clearly from my heart: this was not an act of God. God is not the source of destruction or death. He is the giver of life, the healer of wounds, and the restorer of what’s been broken. The heartbreak you’re experiencing is not part of His plan. It’s in moments like these that we must hold onto the truth that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
I know there are no words that can undo the loss or take away the pain, but please don’t carry it alone. If you are in need of comfort, prayer, or simply someone to listen, I hope you’ll reach out to those around you—churches, neighbors, friends—anyone who can be a source of light in this dark time.
You are not forgotten. You are not alone. And you are deeply loved.
