Ten Years, wow. What a journey it’s been. On this day in 2016, I was sworn in as an attorney and started my firm. According to my operating software, I’ve represented 1757 clients since then. I’m thankful for the experienced defense attorneys, prosecutors and judges that have poured into me over the years. I’ve been in business for myself but definitely not by myself.

I couldn’t do what I do on a regular basis without Janessa McAdams, my wife and legal assistant. It’s truly humbling to look back and see what we’ve created together.

Life is good. Now back to doing what I love.

Congratulations to Cherokee County, Georgia - 94 North Street on their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony! This ceremony celebrated the rehabilitated 94 North Street. The facility, formerly housing a Methodist Church with church services and later the Cherokee Arts Center with art classes and programming, will now house important offices for Judicial Services. Indigent Defense, as well as Accountability Courts and the drug lab, will operate out of the historic structure.

It was cool to see him argue in front of the Georgia Supreme Court when I interned at the Dekalb PD’s office. Congrats Kleinrock! You’ve earned it

After 28 years with our office, including many years leading our Appellate Division, Gerard Kleinrock is retiring, and it is hard to imagine our office without him.

Gerard built and shaped the Appellate Division into what it is today through extraordinary legal skill, steady leadership, and an unmatched commitment to our clients and attorneys. For nearly three decades, he has been the person people turned to for answers, strategy, institutional knowledge, and calm in the middle of chaos.

He was also, somehow, our unofficial IT department. If something stopped working, Gerard could usually fix it. If nobody else could figure something out, Gerard probably already had. His ability to solve problems, legal, technical, and otherwise, made him truly irreplaceable.

Beyond his immense talent, Gerard brought humor, patience, and generosity to this office every single day. He mentored generations of lawyers and left a lasting mark on this office and everyone lucky enough to work with him.

We are incredibly grateful for his 28 years of service, leadership, and dedication. Congratulations, Gerard, on a well-earned retirement. You will be deeply missed.
