My Grandpa Chet was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on December 4, 2025. He came home with Amedysis (Marietta) hospice on January 21, 2026. He passed away on January 31.

I want to say thank you to the people who made it possible for me to be there for him during the last two months. The time I was able to spend is so precious to me.

First and foremost, my husband, Rolf. He took care of things at home and the office. Not only that, but he pulled nearly all the financial weight during this time. He never once complained. He supported me every day in so many ways.
Kristi Starkey. I am so grateful for you. Moving appointments on a whim, filing motions, and all the stuff I know you did that I didn’t see. Thank you.

To all of my patient and gracious colleagues, clients, judges, Magistrate Laura Silwani, and others who picked up a little more of the slack, did extra work, agreed to move hearings, thank you. I am very lucky to be part of this wonderful legal community. ❤️

It’s wedding season. Go talk to a divorce attorney BEFORE you get married! 👍👍
No one gets married with divorce in mind. However, it is important to know how to avoid financial problems that could cause major problems in your marriage. It’s also important to know how you can protect your inheritance, premarital property, and other assets. Your future spouse never has to know. 🤫 🤐
