My Grandpa Chet was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on December 4, 2025. He came home with Amedysis (Marietta) hospice on January 21, 2026. He passed away on January 31.

I want to say thank you to the people who made it possible for me to be there for him during the last two months. The time I was able to spend is so precious to me.

First and foremost, my husband, Rolf. He took care of things at home and the office. Not only that, but he pulled nearly all the financial weight during this time. He never once complained. He supported me every day in so many ways.
Kristi Starkey. I am so grateful for you. Moving appointments on a whim, filing motions, and all the stuff I know you did that I didn’t see. Thank you.

To all of my patient and gracious colleagues, clients, judges, Magistrate Laura Silwani, and others who picked up a little more of the slack, did extra work, agreed to move hearings, thank you. I am very lucky to be part of this wonderful legal community. ❤️

You can catch us in the office from 9:00-4:00 Monday through Thursday, outside of special appointments and court, we are closed on Fridays, but available by phone and email. Enjoy the spring and summer! ☀️

ANNOUNCEMENT: Our office will be closed from December 24-January 1. We have the calls forwarded to one of our phones, so we are available if needed.
The courts do not schedule much at this time, so it’s a great time of year for us to reset and get ready for 2025!

Our fan motor went out in our upstairs A/C unit at the office today. We called Gibson Heating and Cooling around 9 and they got there around 1:00, took the fan motor out, returned a few hours later with it and had us up and running by the end of the day. The changed out my air filters in both units while they were there. Couldn’t be happier with their service. Thanks!

So proud of you!

Yesterday Maddi alongside her good friend Alexis were asked to present at the County Commissioners meeting. Alexis gave them a Carteens update and Maddi gave them an update on the Equine 8 of 8 State Competition. Both girls did a wonderful job and were congratulated on their leadership and achievements. They were referred to as "Two of Washington County's finest youth", and we couldn't agree more!
