Terzich & Ort, LLP, is thrilled to announce that our law clerk, Hailey Johnson, passed the Minnesota Bar Exam and will transition into her new role as an Associate Attorney at the firm beginning November 1, 2026. Over the past few years in her current role as a law clerk, Hailey has demonstrated a strong legal skill set, thoughtful attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to helping others. She understands that family law matters involve some of the most difficult and emotional experiences a person faces, and she brings compassion, professionalism, and integrity to helping clients navigate those challenging moments. Last week, attorneys Shannon Ort, Kaitlyn J. Andren, and Taylor Martin, along with law clerk Hailey Johnson, attended Divorce Camp, a family law continuing education conference Madden's on Gull Lake, presented by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). This year’s conference theme was “Signed, Sealed & Relitigated,” bringing together professionals from across the family law community, including attorneys, judges, mental health professionals, financial experts, realtors, mortgage professionals, mediators, and more. Beyond continuing education, the conference provided an opportunity for attendees to be innovators of change, share new ideas, and explore ways to improve the family law system for the families and professionals it serves. Friday night also brought a little friendly competition and plenty of fun with a Derby Night celebration! The evening featured both a silent and live auction, which raised more than $31,000 to support the AAML Foundation, whose mission is to provide financial assistance to families - especially children - whose lives have been impacted by the breakdown of the family unit due to circumstances such as physical or mental abuse, substance abuse, financial hardship, abandonment, or mental illness. Terzich & Ort, LLP, is grateful for opportunities like Divorce Camp to connect with colleagues, exchange ideas, and continue growing alongside the many professionals in Minnesota dedicated to supporting families through life’s transitions.
