I’m proud to support this again and grateful to The Meat Bar Marketplace for continuing this tradition for the third straight year.
This is such a simple but meaningful example of local people taking care of local families. In a world that often feels loud and divided, this is the kind of community support that still matters and still exists when we show up for one another.
Each holiday meal costs about $82 and provides a full Christmas dinner for a local family, including:
• a 4–5 lb ham
• ham glaze
• 6 lb of mashed potatoes
• 3 lb of garlic green beans
• dinner rolls
• an apple pie
This year, we are again trying to reach our goal of 300 meals, and while there has been a lot of generosity, we have not yet reached that goal from donations alone.
I completely understand that money is tight for many individuals and small businesses this year. That is part of why I wanted to share this. It is not just businesses that can help. Individuals can also donate, and The Meat Bar is selling raffle tickets as well, with all proceeds going directly toward sponsoring meals.
There are only a few days left. Meals will be put together on Saturday and picked up by families on Sunday. If anyone is interested in helping in any amount, every meal truly makes a difference.
Whether it is sponsoring a meal, buying a raffle ticket, or simply sharing the post, it all helps keep this local community supporting local families.
