This is the conversation I end up having the most when I first meet with my estate planning clients.

So many people think that having a will prevents their loved ones from having to go through the probate court system and other hassles after they pass away.

THIS IS NOT TRUE.

If you have a will, your family is forced to go through the probate court system to enforce it.

A Living Trust is what the majority of my clients need because it ACTUALLY does what people assume a will can do....and much more.

This Keith Lee-Dallas food truck lady story really makes me grateful for how much I was coached up on the power of mindset when I began my entrepreneur journey.

I heard everyone from lawyers, to real estate moguls, to general contractors, to venture capitalists, continue to speak about the NECESSITY of an ABUNDANCE MINDSET vs a scarcity mindset.

That lady was so desperate to hold on to a short-lived $4000 payment, that she actively and indignantly denied herself a continual spring of customers and advertising.

You hate to see it.

Even when you might be feeling desperate, you gotta continue to trust and believe that God has more for you.

When you have your hands tightly gripped on nickels, no one is able to place dollars in them.

Here's a BIG MONEY lesson every entrepreneur can learn from The Rock when it comes to owning your brand.

Today it was announced that Dwayne Johnson aka "The Rock" has joined the board of TKO Group Holdings (The company that owns UFC and WWE).

Part of this deal gives Johnson the trademark rights to the iconic name "The Rock."

While this name is synonymous with Johnson, the trademark has always been owned by WWE.

This has prevented Johnson from having unrestricted access and use of it to promote his brand and companies to his near 500 MILLION social media followers.

Here's what you can learn as a business owner:

"It doesn't matter" if you have created the catchiest, name, slogan, or logo, if you "just bring it" to the market without legal strategy, your lack of a trademark will "smackdown" your attempt to own your brand.

(Sorry y'all, I had to do the puns lol.)

Your brand might not be yet be at the level of the Rock, but it is just as crucial for you to secure your rights, because it is much easier to trademark something now, than to have to pay HUGE MONEY to get those rights after your company blows up.

Shoutout to Dwayne Johnson, though. Now with complete ownership of the name that is a worldwide brand, he has added another layer to his rock-solid empire.
