“I was laid off from my executive position at a global corporation in October. The amount of severance they offered me and another female colleague was not equitable to what was given to the other people included in this group layoff. Not to mention the company did not follow the terms of the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act when drawing up my separation agreement. The female colleague and I, independent of each other, decided to try and negotiate for more severance than what was offered.
