Truly a tragic incident on the busy I-10 Freeway. Our hearts go out to the families devastated by this truck crash. And we are praying for those injured and dealing with the emotional trauma from this collision. Commercial vehicles and large semi-trucks are heavily regulated for good reason - because when safety fails, the destruction is enormous. Please be safe out there and hug your loved ones.

Oakland police are investigating a collision involving a BART train and a pickup truck late Monday night that caused evacuations and sent at least one to the hospital.

ABC7 News has been told 45 passengers were evacuated from the train late Monday night and the train operator was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
