Another Transformative Training! The Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution just concluded another session of its premier training program, Mediating the Litigated Case, at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law on February 24th! Over five dynamic days, participants—including sitting judges and a retired state Supreme Court judge, attorneys, and federal employees from across the U.S. and Canada—engaged in hands-on mediation training led by lead trainer Professor Stephanie Blondell and other top experts in the field.

The program brought together professionals from Washington, Maryland, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Vancouver, BC, and beyond, fostering an incredible exchange of knowledge and practical skills. The training concluded with a special reception at Dean Paul Caron’s home, celebrating the dedication and achievements of this impressive cohort.

Pepperdine Caruso Law alumna Rachel D. Robinson (JD '14) was sworn in as a judge on the Virginia Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court for the 20th Judicial District. Robinson will serve for a six-year term, which began on April 1, 2024.
