Today, Mother's Day marks the beginning of National Police Week. Today as you honor the mother's in your lives please also remember the mother's who are not being honored by their children today, because their children were killed in the line of duty. Remember those mother's whose husbands or boyfriends won't be honoring them today because their husband or boyfriend was killed in the line of duty. Remember the husband's and children who can't honor their wives or mother today because their wife or their mother was killed in the line of duty. Today as you honor yours please remember theirs.
In 2017 alone there were 135 officers killed in the line of duty. 126 sons, brothers, husbands and fathers. 9 daughters, sisters, wives, and mothers.
